Presented by:

Description

A smoky elevated experience on this American classic Mac-n-Cheese. A hearty cream sauce packs a punch with sharp cheddar cheese and minced garlic. By building the dish in the pot after bacon has cooked adds a pro-chef feel to this delicious dish the whole family will love.

Ingredients

  • ½ lb bacon, diced

  • 5 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs

  • ½ cup fresh chives, chopped

  • ½ cup fresh parsley, chopped

  • 4 tablespoons butter

  • 5 cups whole milk

  • 1 box elbow macaroni

  • 1 tablespoon salt

  • ½ cup butter

  • 3 cups sharp cheddar cheese

Directions

1.In a cold large pot, add the pancetta. Turn on the heat to medium, cook the meat until it is crispy and the fat has rendered.

2.Add the garlic, bread crumbs, chives, and parsley. Stir and cook until the bread crumbs are toasted, about 5 minutes. Remove from the pot.

3.In a large pot on medium-high heat, gently heat the milk to a simmer. Add in the elbow macaroni and salt. Cook until the pasta is tender, 7-10 minutes. Once the noodles are cooked, turn off the heat.

4.Add in the butter, sharp cheddar, Fold these ingredients with the pasta until the cheese and butter melt into the milk to create a thick sauce.

5.Sprinkle with the bread crumb
