BBQ pulled pork & coleslaw

This southern Barbeque dish is a must try. Well-rounded with seasoning and slow-cooked give pulled pork a tender and satisfying dish to eat alone or served as a sandwich. The southern charm of coleslaw adds a nice zest to this powerful and sweet dinner delight.

Ingredients

  • 5 lb pork shoulder

  • 1 onion, sliced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon paprika

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder

  • 1 tablespoon chili powder

  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder

  • 1 tablespoon salt

  • 3 cups barbecue sauce

  • 1 cup light brown sugar

  • ¾ cup apple cider vinegar Coleslaw

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • ½ cup sour cream

  • ½ tablespoon lemon juice

  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

  • 2 teaspoons honey

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon pepper

  • 3 cups green cabbage, very thinly sliced,

  • ½ small head

  • 3 cups purple cabbage, very thinly sliced

  • ½ small head1 large carrot, peeled and grated

Directions

Pulled Pork
1.Put all of your ingredients in a crock pot. Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours, until fork-tender.

2.Shred with two forks and combine with the sauce on the bottom of the pot.

Creamy Coleslaw
1.In a large bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper.

2.Add the green cabbage, red cabbage, and carrot, and toss to coat.

3.Cover and chill until ready to serve.
