Pileci paprika (Chicken stew)
A soul warming chincken soup, which sooths the natives in harsh cold weather. Its easy to make, and can be stored for future meals. Usually eaten with bread/ rice or just by itself.
500 grams chicken with bone (drumstick)
150 grams onion
Two garlic slices
10 grams sweet pepper (paprika)
200 milliliters water
100 milliliters tomato juice
150 grams potatoes
Sunflower oil q.s.
Salt and pepper q.s
1. Chop the onion finely, pour the oil into a suitable pan and heat. When the oil is warmed, the onions are added before the meat is seasoned with salt and baby, when the onions are fried we add the chicken.
2. When the chicken is browned, we add the potatoes cut into larger cubes, then the chopped carrots. After a couple of minutes, seasoning and adding sweet peppers and chopped garlic.
3. Add water and simmer for 40 minutes. After 40 minutes, add the tomato juice and let it simmer for another 10 minutes. Serve and sprinkle with finely chopped parsley.
